Thrive at Community Thread

Since its inception, Community Thread has recognized the importance of connecting people to enrich lives. In more recent years, we have begun exploring options to harness the neighbor-helping-neighbor nature of our community to ensure older adults and others in need can live vibrantly.

Thrive at Community Thread is based on a nationally recognized membership model that builds on the same activities and services we are already known for. This membership-driven network makes connecting with others and living independently a bit easier as our community ages and allows us to deliver more services to more people in a flexible and sustainable way. Thrive at Community Thread will offer something for everyone from volunteer opportunities and social outings to help with home tasks and rides to the store.

New Model = Enhanced Services

Thrive at Community Thread is a membership program that combines the social activities or our Older Adult Program and the services of our Chore Services & Transportation Program to offer members a deeper level of connection and independence based on their interests and needs. Thrive will expand and enhance those services to ensure older adults and adults with disabilities stay socially connected while aging and thriving in place.

Thrive membership includes:

· On- and off-site activities, including social, educational, and wellness events

· Virtual activities

· Transportation for appointments and errands

· Help with tasks at home, including basic lawn care and house cleaning

· Connections to local businesses, trade service providers, discounts and more

Charter Membership will launch in the Fall of 2020 with more members invited to join in the Fall of 2021.

Membership Eligibility

Thrive will serve residents of the Stillwater Area School District (ISD #834) aged 21+ who feel they can benefit from our services. However, we anticipate serving primarily adults aged 60+ and adults with disabilities.

Charter Membership

Charter Membership is now open!

Charter Membership is open to individuals who live in the Stillwater Area School District and already participate in our Older Adult Program or Chore Services & Transportation Program.

Charter Members have immediate access to rides for needs and errands beyond medical appointments and will be invited to special, members only, social events. Additional benefits will be available throughout the coming year.

Charter Membership is free but limited and only available during the first year of the program. Thrive will launch more broadly in the Fall of 2021.
