Fred earned a Masters of Public Health in Environmental and Infectious Disease Epidemiology from the University of Minnesota, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire. He worked as an infectious disease epidemiologist for Washington County Department of Public Health and Environment for nearly 32 years. Over his career, he served on several boards and committees, including the Lakeview Hospital Infection Control Committee, and the American Red Cross. His international volunteer experience includes three community health services trips to rural Tanzania. Fred and his wife Renae live in the Stillwater area and they have two grown daughters.
Steve received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is a 1982 graduate of Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, MN. From 1980 to 2004, he was employed by The St. Paul Companies (now part of Travelers) in a variety of management positions. In 2004, he was named President and CEO of Minnesota Lawyers Mutual Insurance Company in Minneapolis, MN. During his years with St. Paul and MLM, he participated in volunteer activities and as a result held a number of volunteer positions. Steve is retired and lives with his wife Nancy in Lake Elmo.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Catherine University. She also attended the Graduate School of Banking, at the University of Colorado. Additional education includes Advanced Leadership Studies at St. Catherine University, and Leadership Twin Cities. Chris serves as the Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at First State Bank and Trust. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Western Insurance Agency and also on the Board of Directors for Workforce Development in Washington County. Chris, her husband and two children live in West Lakeland Township.
Aaron Drevlow is currently one of three assistant principals serving at Stillwater Area High School. He has been a member of the Stillwater/Woodbury community for the past 15 years and in this time has managed a number of community service oriented projects with students at the Minnesota Business Academy, Great River School and Stillwater Area High School. Aaron worked with Community Thread’s Sara Pennebecker to establish a first in the east metro: the Varsity Letter in Community Service. Aaron is from Anoka, MN and attended University of St. Thomas, Bethel University for his masters in educational leadership and University of Minnesota where he earned his doctorate degree. Aaron lives in Woodbury with his wife and their three children.
Ruth is a graduate of Stillwater High School, Hamline University (BA) and Antioch University (MA). She attended The Neighborhood Playhouse in NYC and has experience on stage and screen. Her board and volunteer work include St. Paul Public Schools, United Hospital, Minnesota Boys Choir, The Oratorio Society, church committees and Healing Haiti. Ruth currently works as the Lifestyle Specialist/Sales and Marketing Director at The Sanctuary at West St. Paul, a senior living community with a unique affordability business model. She also developed the “Silver Group” at Jay T. Sold Me, a real estate team she co-owns with her husband. She and Jay Theriault live in Maplewood and have two children.
Sharon has a BS in accounting from Metropolitan State University and a MBA from Cardinal Stritch University. She is also a graduate of the Executive Development Center at the University of Minnesota. Her volunteer work includes Community Thread (Holiday Hope), Junior Achievement, Habitat for Humanity, Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the United Way of Washington County. Sharon currently works at Andersen Corporation where she is the Director of Financial Shared Services, overseeing fiscal policies, programs and transactions in 12 distinct operations. She and her husband Patrick Deuschle live in Maplewood and have one son.
Rachael Kozlowski is an experienced marketing executive with consulting, training and project management experience. She is the VP of Operations at DemandQuest Marketing Institute in Minneapolis, which offers training in marketing and advertising. She is Google AdWords & Google Analytics certified. Rachael is originally from St. Paul, MN and attended UW-Madison and the American Musical & Dramatic Academy in Manhattan. She is a classically trained professional actress who has performed Off-Broadway in New York as well as in San Francisco, Minneapolis, Charlotte, Buenos Aires (Argentina), Mobile and Madison. She currently lives in Stillwater with her husband and two daughters.
Terry attended Wayne State University. He currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Digital Dental Solutions and previously held leadership positions at Medivators (endoscopy equipment and related products and services) and Ecolab. Terry has extensive sales, marketing and business development experience. Terry is a 25 year resident of the St. Croix Valley with impressive volunteer experience. Terry is passionate about identifying and providing local services and support to people in need, to help them maintain healthy, safe and dignified lives. Terry and his husband Daryl live in Marine-on-St-Croix.
Renae is a graduate of Stillwater High School and Century College. Her volunteer experience includes St. Michaels Church as chair of the hospitality committee, the Stillwater Project Life Center, Knights of Columbus, and Relay for Life; she has also served as a Girl Scout Troup leader. Renae currently works at Lake Elmo Bank as a Personal Banking Officer. She represents the bank at Boutwell’s Landing, providing notary services after normal business hours for nursing home and other senior residents. She was awarded the Tradition of Service Award by Lake Elmo Bank for her customer service in 2012. Renae and her husband Mark live in Stillwater and have two daughters.
Linda is a graduate of Cardinal Stritch University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Management. She is a Registered Nurse, with an Associate of Arts and Sciences from Morton College. Linda has been the owner of Comfort Keepers since 2003, an in-home care services agency. Among other volunteer positions, she serves as a Health Board Member for Adoray Educational Institute, an Advisory Board Member at the St. Croix Valley Foundation and as an Ambassador for both the Hudson Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau and the Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce. Linda and her husband live in Hudson and they have two grown children.
Lynn has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership. She worked for 29 years at 3M in various technical and management positions including product and process development of industrial pressure sensitive adhesive tapes and medical electrodes; technology and business process analysis; six sigma trainer and analytical chemist. She is now retired and remains involved as an active volunteer with the University of Minnesota Extension Master Gardener program; Minnesota Tree Care Advisor; United Way of Washington County-East fund allocation panels; Carpenter Nature Center; and various projects associated with 3M CARES. Lynn lives in Stillwater with her husband.
Gina attended the College of St. Thomas and graduated with a degree in social work. After working in adolescent group homes and as a domestic violence victim advocate and counselor, she chose to become a stay at home mom. This choice led to years of volunteering at area schools, PTAs, VAA athletics, church programs, and the City of Oak Park Heights. Gina currently works for the City of Oak Park Heights as the Summer Park Activity Coordinator. She also serves on several city committees. Gina lives in Oak Park Heights with her husband and their three daughters.
Sarah has a B.A. in Secondary Social Studies Education from St. Olaf College. Her volunteer work includes serving on the Stillwater Area School Board, a position that she intends to pursue again in 2020. Sarah and her husband created Bluestone Physician Services, a workforce of nearly 300 people, located in Stillwater.
Julie graduated from the College of St. Benedict with a degree in Humanities and earned her law degree from William Mitchell College of Law. She is a solo practitioner attorney whose legal experience spans 25 years. Her current practice focuses primarily on family law, and her past experience includes clerking at the Minnesota Court of Appeals, representing the State of Minnesota as an assistant attorney general, and working as a senior attorney for a nonprofit student loan guaranty agency.
