The cumulative impact of our programs is stronger, healthier, and more connected communities, and we depend on gifts from our community to provide our quality programs. We do not receive federal or state funding. Every year, we need to raise the funds for our entire budget. About half our funding comes from area foundations. The remaining half of our funding comes from the United Way of Washington County–East, municipalities, businesses and faith-based organizations and individual donations. We rely on all of these sources, including our participants, to support and fund our programs and services. Please support our work and help us realize our vision of a community where all people are engaged, enriched and connected.

We are always seeking Business Sponsors, and have a variety of opportunities available to partner with us as sponsors of one or more of our Signature Service Initiatives. Email Cathleen Hess or call 651-439-7434 for more information.
Does your employer have a matching gift program? If so, you can submit your donation information to them and Community Thread would receive a matching gift from the company. Please contact Cathleen Hess at 651-439-7434 for details.
Remembering Community Thread in your estate plans is an easy way to leave a legacy for your community. The simplest form of a legacy gift is the bequest – a gift left to a charity in your will. Bequests often enable donors to make a larger donation than is possible during their lifetime, and the donation may be directed to any of our programs or to our general operating fund.
Simple bequest language usually reads: “I give and bequeath to Community Thread (Federal Tax ID# 41-0967271), a charitable organization duly existing under the laws of Minnesota and located at 2300 W. Orleans Street, Stillwater MN 55082, *dollar amount or percentage of estate*.”
We invite you to remember Community Thread in your estate plan and hope you will let us know so we can include your name on our donor list. For more information, please contact Cathleen Hess at 651-439-7434.
