The cumulative impact of our programs is stronger, healthier, and more connected communities, and we depend on gifts from our community to provide our quality programs. Every year, we need to raise the funds for our entire budget. About half our funding comes from area foundations. The remaining half of our funding comes from the United Way of Washington County–East, municipalities, businesses and faith-based organizations and individual donations. We rely on all of these sources, including our participants, to support and fund our programs and services. Please support our work and help us realize our vision of a community where all people are engaged, enriched and connected.

Legacy Giving

Remembering Community Thread in your estate plans is an easy way to leave a legacy for your community. The simplest form of a legacy gift is the bequest – a gift left to a charity in your will. Bequests often enable donors to make a larger donation than is possible during their lifetime, and the donation may be directed to any of our programs or to our general operating fund.

Simple bequest language usually reads: “I give and bequeath to Community Thread (Federal Tax ID# 41-0967271), a charitable organization duly existing under the laws of Minnesota and located at 2300 W. Orleans Street, Stillwater MN 55082, *dollar amount or percentage of estate*.”
