Sally Anderson, Executive Director
Sally Anderson has a Masters in Health Administration from Indiana University and earned a certificate in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from the University of Wisconsin. Prior to joining Community Thread, she served in senior leadership positions at Valley Outreach, a local food shelf and basic needs provider where she worked extensively with volunteers. Her professional experience includes starting a nonprofit mental health clinic and managing programs serving aging and disabled populations in collaboration with other nonprofits.
Kathryn Bolinder, Associate Director
Kathryn Bolinder has an undergraduate degree in social work and a Master of Healthcare Administration degree and Master of Management degree from St. Mary’s University. Before coming to Community Thread, Kathryn worked as Long Term Care Administrator, Clinic Manager and Director of Operations in several not-for-profit and for-profit organizations. She continues to volunteer with several local organizations.
Cathleen Hess, Development and Communications Director
Cathleen holds a Bachelor of Arts in English, Writing, and Secondary Education from Hamline University. She brings 18 years of fundraising, event planning, communications, and marketing experience to Community Thread. She has dedicated more than a decade of her professional career working in communications and fundraising roles to benefit students attending local urban and suburban public schools. Cathleen has been a member of many statewide communications and public relations associations. She has volunteered locally at Croixdale, Valley Outreach, and in various roles for the ISD 622 Education Foundation.
Hannah Erickson, Development and Communications Coordinator
Hannah holds a B.S. in Marketing Communications and Communication Studies from the University of Wisconsin River Falls. Her experience includes social media marketing, event planning, health marketing, content creation and media coordination for nonprofit organizations including the Minnesota Association of Community Health Centers (MNACHC) Services and Luther Point Bible Camp as well as the UWRF Student Health and Counseling Services.
Rachel Presslein, Thrive Program Director
Rachel holds a Master of Public Administration degree from North Carolina State University. She has certifications in nonprofit management and volunteer administration. Before joining Community Thread, Rachel worked with health and housing organizations in program development, board and volunteer management, human resources, strategic planning, fundraising, and communications. Rachel is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the ISD 622 Education Foundation.
Lynn DeCorsey, Thrive Program Coordinator
Lynn has a background in finance and healthcare settings as a Patient Financial Services Representative. She is also an active volunteer with her children’s sport activities and currently acts as a foster family for Coco’s Heart Dog Rescue in Hudson WI.
Kim McRunnel, Older Adult Program Director
Kim has a background in insurance and retail settings and has worked as a health paraprofessional in the Stillwater School district. She has been an active volunteer in her children’s schools and sport organizations. Kim and her family have been very active in fostering dogs for a local dog rescue. She serves on the executive board of the St Croix Valley Athletic Association and is a charter member of the Afton Bayport Lakeland Lions Club.
Jennifer Kmecik, Community Engagement Director
Jennifer holds a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas. She brings 10 years of non-profit experience to Community Thread, including work in the areas of program and fund development, volunteer management and strategic planning. Jennifer is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Chisago Lakes Area Community Foundation. Jennifer is also a 2013-14 class participant of Leadership Twin Cities where she continues to be involved as a steering committee member and past co-chair for the 2016-17 class.
Leanna Miller, Volunteer Center Coordinator
Leanna has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of MN-Duluth and worked as a Special Ed Paraprofessional for 13 years. She is certified in Volunteer Leadership and has an extensive background in volunteer management. Leanna is an active volunteer with a variety of local non-profits including Canvas Health, Family Means, United Way, Lakeview Foundation and her children’s schools.
