Changes Coming Soon

Starting in 2026, Community Thread is moving to a simpler, more accessible participation model—no membership dues, no monthly fees, and no per-visit payments.

How it will work:
To participate in regular activities or request a ride, you’ll complete a quick, free enrollment form. Thanks to generous local donors, enrollment has no cost.

What’s included:
Free enrollment gives you access to most ongoing activities including cards, Bingo, trivia, hobby groups, Book Club, discussion groups, Living Well sessions, line dancing, and more. Your first roundtrip ride with a volunteer driver is also included.

What may have a fee:
Seasonal parties, pop-up classes, excursions, and some instructor-led or supply-based programs may require a registration fee.

Add-On Packs:
If you’d like extra services or premium classes, you can purchase Add-On Packs (available in sets of 3, 5, 12, or 25). Larger packs offer lower per-unit pricing, with reduced rates available for income-eligible participants. More pack options will be added as volunteer capacity grows.

Community Thread’s Activities & Services are locally funded, designed, and managed to meet our community needs. Community Thread utilizes a model supported by the national Village to Village Network.

Mission Moment

“I am so grateful for Community Thread. I was unable to walk without assistance and was told I needed regular physical therapy appointments. I had no way of getting to these appointments before Community Thread stepped in to help me. Because of their staff and volunteer drivers, I was able to get to physical therapy and have begun walking much better. I wouldn’t have been able to make such progress without them.
