Interested in breaking down snow barriers for your neighbors this winter? Join the Snow Squad. Adopt a driveway and help a neighbor this snowy season. Individuals, families, and groups are welcome to volunteer!
Rake a Difference
Community Thread’s Rake a Difference is a family-friendly volunteer activity takes place in October to provide raking services for older adults and adults with disabilities throughout Washington County. This year, Rake a Difference will take place during the fall months of 2023.
Volunteer groups may make arrangements with matched homeowners for a preferred raking day.

Homeowners – Rake a Difference services are now part of our Thrive Program. Individuals who are eligible for this year’s Rake a Difference will be contacted directly by Community Thread in September. If you have questions about your eligibility, please call us at 651-439-7434.




We always love finding a way to serve in our community. We rake the home of a sweet elderly woman who has lived in her home for many years and are so happy to have assisted her. It was a very rewarding experience.
