Washington County Flood Response

Community Thread is leading volunteer efforts for flood response in partnership with Washington County Emergency Management.

In past flood emergencies, many St. Croix Valley cities approached Community Thread to assist with volunteer recruitment and management for flood response activities. As the only volunteer center in the area, Community Thread is able to provide a great deal of support and will coordinate these efforts.

Stay tuned for the volunteer form to go live. Please like us on Facebook and Instagram to stay up to date with Flood Response volunteer needs.

Volunteer

THANK YOU to all of the incredible volunteers who have signed up to help with next week’s sandbagging efforts in downtown Stillwater. Community Thread is pleased to announce that all shifts have been filled!

Please continue to visit Community Thread’s Facebook and Instagram pages for updates, and to learn about additional volunteer opportunities, if more become available.

  • Each person must complete a volunteer registration form. No walk ups are allowed. Volunteers will not be able to participate without completing a form.
  • There will be a maximum number of slots per shift. Once those are full there are no additional slots available at that time.
  • Volunteers must be 14 or older. Anyone under age 14 will not be allowed to participate.
  • Groups should contact Leanna Miller at 651-789-4170 or Leanna@CommunityThreadMN.org. Slots will be allotted to groups on a first come first serve basis depending on shift availability.

You will receive a confirmation email once you have completed the volunteer registration form. This email will contain important details you need to know for your volunteer shift.

If you do not receive a confirmation email, you are not signed up. Please resubmit the form.

Questions? Contact Leanna Miller at 651-789-4170 or Leanna@CommunityThreadMN.org
